At a high-school party, four friends (Jim, Kevin, Finch, and Oz) find that losing their collective virginity isn’t as easy as they had thought. One week before her sex-change operation, Bree receives a call from a 17-year-old identifying himself as her son from a college liaison. Bree’s psychiatrist won’t approve the surgery until Bree deals with this relationship, so Bree flies to New York City, bails the youth out of juvenile detention, and offers him a ride back to Los Angeles without disclosing that she is his father. Both her plans and his go awry, and as secrets will out, what might become a friendship (or more) founders. The lad’s step-father, a sex-change support group, a peyote eater, a Navajo wrangler, and Bree’s family all play their parts in this exploration of family, gender, and expectations.

What, you haven’t seen it? Danny is the ‘coolest’ of the T Birds, a group of High School guys, they hang out with the Pink Ladies. Danny met Sandy during the summer holiday and now she’s moved to the area and to his school, Rydell High. Sandy doesn’t fit in with the ‘cool’ scene, and the Pink ladies, “Look at me I’m Sandra Dee, Blessed with my virginity” sings Rizzo, the Pink Ladies leader. A rival gang Scorpians want to race the T Birds car (”Go Greased Lightening …”). Also there’s a National Dance TV show coming to Rydall High … There are a couple of rival suitors to Sandy and Danny, to liven the relationship up. And ‘oh yes’ - Graduation.
